Job Summary
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive government locations for access control concerns, policy violations, or suspicious behavior. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels. Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and assisting visitors, employees, and travelers with directions while maintaining a visible presence. Work part-time shifts from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays at Lihue Airport. Maintain a valid driver's license and at least one year of security experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 1+ years of Security Experience
- 18+ years of age
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
