Job Summary
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive government locations for access control concerns, policy violations, or suspicious behavior. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels. Assist visitors, employees, and travelers with directions and general information while supporting order and following post instructions for an unarmed patrol assignment. Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Work part-time day shifts from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM in Lihue, HI, with a pay rate of $22.50 per hour plus an hourly bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 1+ years of Security Experience
- 18+ years of age
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
