Airport Security Officer responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing their transport through Screening Locations, performing security screening duties including metal detection, pat-down searches, operation of x-ray machines, and access control across Orlando International Airport, while providing professional customer service and complying with licensing, background checks, and shift flexibility requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain Florida Class D Security License
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must read, write and speak English proficiently
- Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references
- Must possess valid state-issued Driver's License or a valid state-Issued I.D. card
- Must be able to pass pre-employment/annual/random drug screenings
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work and interact with the public
- Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing of schedules (including day, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts)
