Job Summary
The Ramp Supervisor will lead, direct, and coordinate ground, line, and cabin service personnel to ensure timely delivery of airline services. Responsibilities include establishing shift assignments, monitoring ground support equipment operations, and coordinating with assigned carriers for cargo and baggage services. The role requires compliance with federal, state, and airport regulations, as well as the ability to brief crews before flights and ensure necessary ground equipment is available. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, experience with Microsoft Office, and the ability to fulfill physical requirements associated with the job. Supervisory experience and a proactive approach to safety and operations are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess computer experience (6+ months) and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have a High School diploma, GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have and maintain a Valid Driver's License
- Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- Basic computer literacy
- Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment
- Must clear an FBI fingerprint background check
Desired Qualifications
- Previous ramp or airline experience
- A proven track record in supervising a business unit
- Experience in operational planning and resource allocation
- Working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues
- Experience and understanding of commercial issues in aviation
Additional Requirements
- Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
- Must be able and flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holiday-specific shifts
- Employment is contingent upon a clean driving record, 10-year Criminal History records check, and drug screen
