Job Summary

The Airport Operations Specialist ensures daily airport operations, performing essential functions such as assisting in airport operations coordination, ensuring compliance with FAA and TSA regulations, responding to aircraft emergencies, and implementing wildlife control measures. Responsibilities include maintaining inspection logs, monitoring airport security systems, issuing NOTAMs, performing maintenance on airfield equipment, and making operational decisions when necessary. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, at least one year of relevant experience, and the ability to communicate effectively, with an understanding of airport operational regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in airport operations or related fields
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Part 139 and Part 77
  • Familiarity with public safety and security protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in airport operations and maintenance
  • Understanding of FAA and TSA regulations
  • Knowledge of airfield lighting and signage
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Experience in performing emergency maintenance tasks

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License
  • Must pass a Federal background investigation annually
  • Must obtain and maintain FAA ARFF Certifications
