Job Summary
Perform daily airport safety and security inspections and field maintenance to ensure compliance with FAA/FAA-regulations (FAR Part 139, FAR Part 77, TSR 1542) and the Airport Security Program; issue NOTAMs, maintain logs and incident/accident reports; assist leadership with developing and delivering airport operations training for staff and construction personnel; conduct self-inspections, support major construction coordination, serve as Alternate Airport Security Coordinator, respond to incidents after-hours, and perform airfield maintenance, snow/ice control, and wildlife-related duties while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of airfield operations experience (preferably in commercial service)
- Possess (or have ability to obtain within 1 year) a Class B Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL
- Pass TSA-mandated 10-year security background investigation, pre-employment drug test, fingerprint background check, and driver record check
- Possess (or have ability to obtain within 90 days) the Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) certification
- Possess and maintain AAAE ACE Operations Designation or ACE Security Designation
- Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 139 regulations and related airport operations standards
- Ability to work shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow safety practices and procedures
- Ability to make sound decisions
