Job Summary
Airport Manager LAX leads one of Qantas’ largest and most complex international airport operations, with end-to-end accountability across safety, performance, and customer experience. The role oversees both above- and below-wing operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, supplier performance, and budget outcomes while shaping Americas regional priorities and collaboration across business units. The position requires senior leadership experience, strong airline/airport operations expertise, stakeholder management, and a track record of building high-performing teams.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience within a large, complex and/or regulated operational environment
- Strong airport or airline operations experience, with a deep understanding of end-to-end airport performance
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence, manage suppliers and deliver measurable performance outcomes
- Experience leading change, improving processes and embedding continuous improvement
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Working knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks (including US DOT, TSA MSP and FAA requirements or equivalent)
- Strong commercial acumen, including managing budgets, cost performance and operational KPIs
- Experience supporting premium customer environments, including lounge or high-value service delivery
- A track record of building, leading and developing high-performing teams
