Job Summary
Coordinate routine and non-routine airfield maintenance, including inspecting tools, operating heavy equipment like snow plows and dump trucks, and maintaining glycol collection lagoons. Perform frequent inspections of runways, taxiways, and lighting systems to ensure safe airport operations, while assisting work parties to meet project deadlines. Attend training sessions for equipment operation and emergency procedures, and participate in Total Quality Management Programs. Maintain a valid New York State Driver's License and obtain a Class B C.D.L. within ninety days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have prior experience in the use of hand and power tools
- Demonstrated ability to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment
- Must possess a valid New York State Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain a C.D.L., Class B license within ninety days of employment
