Job Summary
Supervises daily maintenance operations for airport facilities, assigns work schedules to maintenance staff, coordinates cross-site activities, ensures safety and quality standards, and provides technical guidance in a specialized trade. Oversees records and reporting on hours, labor distribution, and project status; coordinates with contractors and internal stakeholders; supports performance reviews and personnel actions; and may operate or train others in the use of light/heavy equipment. Required Qualifications
- Six years increasingly responsible work experience and training in maintenance related field
- Journey-level certification and proficiency in trade required
- Thorough knowledge of standards, practices, materials, and methods used in maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and various types of equipment operation manuals
- Possession of valid driver’s license or driving privilege card
- Some duties may require possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License
- Knowledge of safety rules and hazards and application of accident prevention measures associated with maintenance procedures and involving the operation of maintenance equipment
- Ability to supervise and relate well with the general public, supervisors, and fellow employees
- Ability to coordinate a variety of work requests and schedule completion in optimum time frame
- Ability to work rotating shifts which may include days, afternoons, graveyards, weekends and holidays
