Job Summary
Airport Dispatch Agent handles logistics for flights, ensuring aircraft turnaround from arrival to departure by coordinating with flight crew, ramp and fueling teams, and handling flight paperwork, weather reports, and passenger lists. Responsibilities include communicating with flight and cabin crew via radio, ensuring accurate information for daily assignments, preparing flight paperwork, relaying fuel and load data, maintaining logs and reports, prioritizing tasks for efficient resource movement, and responding to emergencies. Requires strong communication, professional etiquette, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and completion of ramp and SIDA training for airport security; in-state residency and U.S. work authorization are required. Required Qualifications
- One+ years of relevant experience
- Able to communicate information/ instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment
- Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner
- Must be a local (in-state) resident
- Valid In-State Driver’s License
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
