Job Summary
Maintains and repairs airport buildings and related systems, performing structural and mechanical preventive and corrective work across walls, ceilings, floors, HVAC, electrical and related equipment. Responsibilities include installing wiring and cables, troubleshooting equipment, performing snow removal and de-icing, enforcing FAA safety rules, responding to alarms, assisting emergency responders and the public, training and guiding new staff, coordinating with other departments, and participating in meetings to stay current on practices—often working outdoors in varying weather. Requires strong knowledge of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting, effective communication, tool proficiency, safety compliance, and the ability to operate under deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from High School or possession of GED
- Three to five years of experience in building maintenance and/or any of the skilled trades
- Class B Commercial Driver�s License (CDL-B) - (Individuals may be hired without the CDL. However, those individuals must attain the CDL-B within the first six months of date of hire)
