Job Summary
Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates, roll customer-occupied wheelchairs safely down jet bridges, and assist travelers with moving luggage to vehicles, taxi stands, and rental car stations. Maintain wheel brakes before passenger exit, follow dispatcher gate orders, and complete necessary incident reports. Ask each passenger safety and security questions while communicating clearly and maintaining a friendly, positive attitude attentive to individual needs. Work in an airport facility supporting Bags' mission to streamline the travel experience, requiring on-the-job security training and badge clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to clear a background and drug screen
- Must be able to lift up to up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300lbs up and down inclines throughout the shift
- Ability to lift passengers from the wheelchair to the seat on the plane
- Complete all required training including airport compliance
- Able to obtain an airport badge
- Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
- Must be able to move in a relatively quick manner
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
