Job Summary
Lead and develop the Airline Support Engineering team while establishing technical and operational strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes to ensure first-time quality and on-time performance. Foster an environment centered on Boeing Values and Behaviors by developing relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Work extensively with Boeing and customer executives in Engineering and Maintenance organizations to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvements. Acquire resources for department activities and manage budget, scheduling, and risk management. This role requires a 100% onsite presence in Seal Beach, CA, and includes a relocation offer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
- Completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
- 100% onsite work in Seal Beach, CA
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Subject to drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- Must be a 'U.S. Person' (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering discipline or Master's degree in management
- Experience in customer support, dealing with and solving airline operator technical questions and issues
- Experience managing executive level relationships
- Experience in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills; ability to distill complex issues for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong program management skills: budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, risk management, trade studies, and escalation management
