Job Summary
Check in passengers for flights at ticket counters and gates, verify documentation, assign seats, provide gate information, and assist with baggage and passenger issues. Interpret identification labels and routing tags while maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with passengers, including those who may be disgruntled. Perform other duties as assigned, which may involve lifting and moving cargo and baggage up to 70lbs. Adhere to uniform guidelines and codes of conduct, including restrictions on visible tattoos and excessive piercings. Work variable shifts including weekends and holidays while passing pre-employment testing, drug screening, and FBI background checks.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background, and employment history
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct (no visible tattoos/excessive piercings)
- Comfortable lifting/moving up to 70lbs of cargo and baggage
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear
- Other tasks include lifting passenger bags up to 70lbs which could also involve bending and stooping
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70lbs
