Job Summary
Assist passengers with boarding the aircraft by moving them up and down the jetbridge, managing isle chair transfers, and pushing wheelchairs while ensuring brakes are secured. Maintain a friendly attitude and communicate clearly by asking safety and security questions, following dispatcher gate orders, and completing necessary wheelchair or incident reports. Uphold professional relationships with airline employees and airport authorities while exceeding customer service standards. This physically demanding role requires on-the-job security training and badge clearance, with a salary of $14.00 per hour in Orlando, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to clear a background and drug screen
- Must be able to lift up to up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300lbs up and down inclines throughout the shift
- Must be able to obtain an airport badge
- Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
- Must be able to move in a relatively quick manner
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus
