Job Summary
Verify passenger boarding passes with checked bags and move luggage to the security screening induction system. Load passenger luggage onto the security screening belt while communicating safety and security questions to each passenger. Work closely with airline ticket counter agents and complete all required training including airport compliance. Obtain applicable airport security badges during on-the-job training. This physically demanding role requires lifting up to 75 lbs consistently, standing, stooping, and bending throughout the shift. Candidates must be at least 18, authorized to work in the US, and able to clear a background and drug screen. Experience in customer service is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to clear a background and drug screen
- Must be able to lift up to up to 75 lbs consistently throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, push, pull throughout entire shift
- Complete all required training including airport compliance
- Able to obtain an airport badge
- Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
- Must be able to move in a relatively quick manner
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
