Job Summary
Airfreight Export Account Manager responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts in the air export division focusing on perishable freight. Oversees end-to-end export process from a client perspective, builds and maintains relationships with customers and airlines, negotiates rates for profitable margins, identifies growth opportunities, coordinates with operations for on-time shipments, provides performance updates and reports, analyzes revenue and profitability, ensures compliance with export regulations including TSA and international shipping requirements, and supports process improvements and cost reductions. Requires 3-5 years in airfreight/export/logistics, strong customer-facing and negotiation skills, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Location-based in Los Angeles, CA with on-site responsibilities; full-time role with competitive salary and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, logistics, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in airfreight export or logistics, preferably perishable or temperature-controlled cargo
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles with freight forwarding
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Strong knowledge of air export operations, pricing, and international shipping regulations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office
