Job Summary
Airframe Structural Mechanic II responsible for troubleshooting malfunctions in CH-53E aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems; repairs/rebuilds metal airframes and components using hand/power tools and manufacturing equipment; interprets manuals, service bulletins, and drawings to determine repair methods; conducts inspections per NAMP and MRC requirements; performs corrosion control, finishes, and riveting/assembly with attention to tolerances; may lead teams on complex tasks and document work in maintenance records; requires knowledge of aircraft systems, tools, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years’ experience on Military aircraft
- Four years’ experience (on CH/MH-53E or equivalent)
- Aviation Structural Mechanic Core
- Aviation Structural Mechanic Organizational Level
- FAA Airframe & Powerplants (A&P) certification and relevant civilian aircraft experience may be substituted
