Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs on aircraft and engine systems under supervision. Make work order entries for discrepancies, interpret Illustrated Parts Catalogs, and troubleshoot systems to prepare aircraft for flight. Apply mathematical calculations to use precision measuring tools for gaps, heights, and angles while maintaining FAA and Company records. Operate information systems, including Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking software, and document nonconforming materials per specifications. Plan work sequences to promote safe, efficient operations and meet schedules. Requires a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate, 0–2 years of experience, and flexible scheduling including overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain airport driving privileges
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- Basic knowledge of FAA regulations, including Parts 43, 65, and 145
- General understanding of aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, landing gear, and engine/APU fundamentals
- Familiarity with maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, tool control, and safety procedures
- Ability to learn aircraft systems and maintenance procedures quickly
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation accurately
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced maintenance environment
- Ability to maintain attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, fall protection equipment, and respirators as required
- Sufficient visual acuity, depth perception, color recognition, and hearing (with or without correction) to safely perform aircraft maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from an FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) preferred
- 0–2 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred
- Military, MRO, airline, or aviation maintenance experience is a plus
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to learn maintenance tracking systems such as Corridor
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
