Job Summary
Aircraft Upholstery Technician sought to cut, sew, and assemble finished upholstery pieces for VIP aircraft seating in a clean, air-conditioned workshop. Responsibilities include pattern creation, fabric and leather cutting, sewing (single/double stitch and serging), fabric finishing, reading engineering drawings, and assembling seat covers and cushions. Must lift 35-55 lbs regularly, work from patterns/templates, mentor lesser-skilled technicians, and adapt to a flexible schedule based on customer delivery. Requires 2+ years of leather/fabric experience, pattern-making/cutting/sewing proficiency, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience with leather and fabric
- Pattern making, cutting and sewing experience
- Ability to read and manufacture to drawings
- Two years’ experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and hand tools
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED
