Job Summary
Join the Christchurch Engine Centre team as a qualified Level 4 Aircraft Tradesperson in a full-time role. Responsibilities include operating tools and equipment for engine assembly, disassembly and maintenance, interpreting manufacturer manuals, and maintaining accurate records of work performed in line with quality standards. Candidates must have a Trade Qualification at NZQA Level 4 or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace or related fields. A commitment to safety, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Trade Qualified – NZQA Level 4 or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in aerospace, automotive, mechanical engineering or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to follow processes and technical instructions accurately.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, and twisting.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.
- Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all tasks.
- Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and overtime as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Engine MRO or the aerospace industry.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engine manuals.
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
