Job Summary
As an Aircraft Structures Technician at Alpine Aerotech, you will design, lay out, and perform structural repairs in accordance with Structural Repair Manuals, Airworthiness Directives, Technical Bulletins, engineering drawings, and approved data. You will fabricate, assemble, and fit structural components to precise specifications, perform sheet metal repairs on helicopter platforms, apply corrosion control and preservation processes, inspect completed work for regulatory and quality compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with technicians, inspectors, and leadership to meet production goals while upholding safety and quality standards. You will support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the company’s standards of professionalism and technical excellence. Minimum qualification includes a Transport Canada aviation structures program graduation and an AME-S Licence or pursuing certification, with relevant experience in aviation structures and strong interpretation of engineering data.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Transport Canada accredited Aviation Structures program
- AME-S Licence or strong desire to pursue certification
- Experience performing structural repairs, sheet metal fabrication, aircraft modifications, or related aviation structures work
- Strong understanding of aircraft structures, fabrication techniques, corrosion control processes, and repair methodologies
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, repair instructions, and approved data
- Valid driver's licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
