Job Summary
Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician needed to perform maintenance operations on aircraft and powerplant components, including removal/replacement, torqueing, rigging, and safety wiring, to ensure airworthiness per FAA and company maintenance manuals. Responsibilities include repairing/modifying/overhauling aircraft systems, adhering to maintenance documentation and service bulletins, reading maintenance manuals and blueprints, ensuring proper tagging and documentation, operating ground support equipment safely, and maintaining a clean work area. Must be authorized to work in the USA and pass a DOT drug test and background verification; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in potentially loud environments; willingness to work various shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check
- Verification of credentials and a urinary pre-employment drug test as per DOT regulations
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements (bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods)
- Must read and use Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Blueprints, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins
- Experience with torqueing, riveting, tooling, and safety wiring as part of aircraft maintenance
