Job Summary
Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician needed to remove/install aircraft components, fabricate/modify structural elements, and perform repairs on airframes and composites. Responsibilities include assisting with hidden damage inspections, wing removal, GSE operations, and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings. Requires 5+ years of structural sheet metal repair/modification experience in heavy maintenance; 1 year of regional/commercial jet experience preferred. Shift work including overnights, weekends, and holidays; basic PC skills and ability to train others are desirable. Visa sponsorship available for Canada, Chile, Mexico and Singapore nationals; relocation bonus and benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience in heavy maintenance environments.
- 1 year of regional / commercial jet experience preferred.
- Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status
- Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of tools
- Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred
- Ground Support Equipment Qualification may be required
- Comfortable with shift work (Overnights, weekends, holidays), including nonscheduled overtime
- You have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable)
- You have basic PC (computer) skills
