Job Summary
Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician with 8-10 years of structural sheet metal repair/modification experience required to join GAL AeroStaff for on-site, full-time work in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities include removing/installing aircraft components, fabricating/modifying structural modifications, minor repairs on composite components, inspecting airframe structures, assisting with wing removal, reading mechanical drawings, designing/welding metal fixtures, providing time estimates, and adhering to safety/environmental policies. FAA A&P license is preferred but not required. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including overnights and weekends, and be authorized to work in the USA. Per diem, benefits, and on-site support provided.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-10 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience
- Completed Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling
- FAA A&P license OR “A” license is preferred but not needed
- Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
- Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of tools
- Comfortable with shift work (12 hours shifts, overnights, weekends, holidays)
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
