Job Summary
Perform structural sheet metal repairs on aircraft during heavy maintenance checks; remove, repair, and replace aircraft structural components such as skins, panels, and supports; fabricate and install sheet metal parts including brackets, doublers, and reinforcements; read and interpret maintenance manuals, SRMs, blueprints, and engineering drawings; perform drilling, riveting, cutting, and fitting of sheet metal components; ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards; inspect completed work to ensure quality and airworthiness; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; communicate effectively with team members and leadership; other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience
- Experience performing C-checks or heavy maintenance
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structural repair and sheet metal practices
- Experience working in an MRO or heavy maintenance environment
- Ability to read and interpret SRMs, engineering drawings, and manuals
- Experience with drilling, riveting, and structural repairs
- Ability to fabricate and install sheet metal components
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment
- Ability to lift, stand, and work in various physical positions throughout the shift
