Job Summary
Aircraft Servicer/Transient Alert at Creech AFB in NV. Responsibilities include directing aircraft on the ground, securing aircraft with wheel chocks and tie-downs, operating servicing equipment to replenish fuel/oil/water/oxygen/hydraulic fluids, performing End of Runway inspections (including munitions handling and egress system checks), sampling for fuel/oil contamination, inspecting tires, and handling ground support equipment. Also responsible for emergency response, loading/unloading passengers, managing airfield sweeping with a Tymco 600, completing aircraft forms, and ensuring safety and quality compliance per Air Force and Amentum standards. Requires DoD technical training, 2-4 years fighter aircraft maintenance experience, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, a valid driver’s license, color-vision test, and willingness to work various shifts, travel 2-5 nights, and weekends/holidays. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have Department of Defense or civilian formal technical training in the aircraft maintenance career field
- Two (2) to Four (4) years prior military fighter aircraft maintenance experience
- Must be able to qualify for and maintain a government Secret Security Clearance
- Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and be able to pass color blindness test to obtain Flight line Driver’s License (AF Form 483)
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Position may require different shift work assignments and on occasions may require routine travel and to spend 2-5 nights away from home for additional updated equipment or qualification training
- On occasion, must be able to work weekends and holidays
