Job Summary
Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair avionics radio systems for T-1, T-38, and T-6 aircraft. Read and interpret wiring diagrams and Air Force Technical Orders. Complete maintenance 781 forms and IMDS entries. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 4 years of maintenance experience on radio/electrical/instrument systems or A&P certifications or DD214 with Avionics training, English proficiency, and ability to obtain REAL ID license and site access. U.S. citizenship required for access; physical requirements per CBA Appendix E; benefits include health/dental/vision, PTO, retirement, educational reimbursement, parental leave, stock purchase plan, disability and life insurance. Positions governed by a CBA or SCA may have different provisions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with REAL ID within 30 days of employment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain site access
- U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain site access
- Four (4) years of maintenance experience on radio systems, electrical systems, instrument systems, or possess Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications, or provide a DD214 from prior military training showing Avionics courses and completion dates
- Must be able to read, speak and write in English
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements as stipulated in Appendix E of the CBA
