Job Summary
Aircraft Painter role responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-quality, durable finish. Duties include surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, priming), applying coatings with spray guns, rollers, and brushes, inspecting for defects, operating air compressors and spray booths, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Collaborates with team to complete projects on time, keeps materials usage records, and assists in inventory management. Requires 4+ years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong knowledge of aviation painting techniques, with the ability to read technical drawings and work in a fast-paced, on-site environment. Preferred qualifications include certification in aircraft painting and familiarity with industry coatings and maintenance facilities.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years minimum experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in aircraft painting or related fields (such as automotive or industrial painting)
- Strong knowledge of aviation painting techniques, materials, and safety standards
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and carry materials and tools, standing for extended periods
- Experience with hazardous material handling and adherence to safety guidelines
