Job Summary
Aircraft Paint Prepper – Kingman, AZ: Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, stripping, and masking; remove old paint, corrosion, grease, and contaminants using approved methods; apply body fillers and sealants and sand to smooth finishes; mask and protect windows, antennas, trim, and other non-painted areas; assist painters with priming and topcoat application when needed; inspect completed prep work for specifications; maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe condition; follow FAA and OSHA safety requirements at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in paint preparation (aviation, automotive, or industrial)
- Knowledge of sanding, masking, and corrosion removal techniques
- Ability to work with hand tools, sanders, grinders, and other prep equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
