Job Summary
Conduct annual aircraft inspections, document maintenance needs, and execute repairs per FAA regulations and Wipaire standards. Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, and hydraulic systems, while diagnosing malfunctions in landing gear and de-icers. Modify structures and rebuild functional parts like wings and fuselages using technical expertise to resolve complex issues. Ensure all activities comply with safety requirements and accurately record preventive and corrective maintenance. Perform lifting of supplies up to 50 pounds and use hand and power tools in the shop and hangar. Work steady first shifts with relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet FAA regulatory and safety requirements in all aspects of the work
- Perform lifting of supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
- Must be able to use hand tools, including wrenches, hammers, power tools, and other tools used in testing aircraft and parts, and a computer, phone, and photocopier
- Must have all required tools designated within 90 days of starting employment
- Must comply with Wipaire FOD prevention plan
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status
Desired Qualifications
- Airframe & Power Plant (A & P) license preferred, but not required
