Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic II performs inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting on assigned aircraft per Technical Orders and SOPs, including launch/recovery, scheduled and unscheduled inspections, preflight/post-flight checks, and servicing. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining aircraft structures and systems, removing/instaling components, documenting maintenance in information systems, providing on-the-job training to other mechanics/technicians, assisting with Tool Control and parts orders, operating flightline vehicles, and ensuring FAA/compliance. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience (KC-46 experience preferred), and a current driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; A&P certification preferred. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varying conditions. Location: Lancaster, CA; on-site role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Eight years aircraft maintenance experience
- Experience with aircraft servicing procedures and maintenance manuals
- FAA Airframe or Powerplant certification preferred
- Current state driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and data tables
