Job Summary

Inspect and assess damage to aircraft structural components and formulate proper repair procedures using advanced metalworking techniques. Manufacture or repair parts with jigs, fixtures, and layouts; install close-tolerance, high-strength fasteners; perform weight and balance and control surface rigging per technical orders. Maintain records, ensure corrosion protection and proper coatings, and comply with QA and regulatory requirements. Proficient in interpreting shop drawings and technical publications; capable of using automated maintenance systems and handling hazardous waste per environmental standards. Requires strong problem-solving, communication with management and crew, and the ability to work independently as an aircraft structural mechanic at depot level for fixed/rotary wing aircraft, with potential FAA certification and ability to obtain security clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant aircraft depot level structural maintenance experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance
  • Knowledge of depot level maintenance concepts
  • FAA Airplane and/or Powerplant certification a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
