Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic I specialized in Corrosion (Paint and Final Finish) with EA-18G experience; performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of aircraft structures, systems, and components on EA-18G/NAS Whidbey Island. Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to determine repair methods; may require FAA specialization in sheet-metal, electrical, avionics, or related disciplines. Responsibilities include servicing engines and airframe components, performing inspections (preflight, thru-flight, post-flight), supervising jacking/towing, and documenting work in maintenance records. Requires 3+ years of related experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to obtain/maintain facility credentials and security clearance; travel may be required. The role is Full-Time, on-site at NAS Whidbey Island with on-base requirements; compensation includes a structured hourly wage under a collective bargaining agreement and related benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred and three (3) years of job-related experience required
- Three (3) years F/A-18E/F or EA-18G experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- Security Clearance and ability to pass related medical/examination requirements
