Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic responsible for repair, maintenance, and overhaul of military aircraft including end-of-runway, post-flight, preflight, and phase inspections; duties include diagnosing problems using technical data, removing/installing components, testing systems, supervising jacking, lifting, and towing; requires 7+ years hands-on maintenance, English proficiency, ability to travel up to 25%, day/night/weekend shifts; must have safety directive knowledge, computer skills, and certifications (Red X/IPI) and ability to obtain security clearance; based in Lakeland, FL with work environment in hangar/flight-line; E-Verify/Background check required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have at least 7 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to work day shift, night shift, weekends as required
- Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives, aircraft/vehicle movement, flight line operations, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications
- Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Obtain/maintain aircraft/equipment Red X/IPI certification
- Obtain/maintain security clearance
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English
