Job Summary
Assemble, disassemble, repair, modify, and upgrade aircraft systems and components to correct failures or implement changes. Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including inspections, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft components. Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to isolate faults and repair defective components. Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure proper operation. Document maintenance actions, procedures, test results, and inspection findings to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. Inspect components and verify repairs for airworthiness and flight readiness requirements. Work under general direction and assist in training less experienced personnel.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Knowledge of operations and aircraft maintenance practices
- Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks
- Ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs)
- One of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed E rating or Military equivalent
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions
- Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
- Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
- Eligible to handle US export-controlled data
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives
- Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC) Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
- Active Secret Level II security clearance
- Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn in-house systems
