Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic Avionics – perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft and components, including inspection, testing, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of advanced avionics/electrical systems and subsystems (weapons systems, navigation, electronic flight control, radar, EC/M, sub-systems such as fuel and power distribution). Reads blueprints and publications, provides guidance and instruction to others, may perform off-site service, and works in hangar/flight line environments with potential exposure to noise, weather, and hazards. Requires a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in the last eight years, military/government aviation experience preferred, HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to obtain necessary qualifications and security clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years’ experience within the last eight years in their specific aircraft maintenance occupational field.
- The last two years must have been in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
- Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any company/government required qualifications, certifications, licensing, or clearance.
- Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
- Must have a valid state driver's license.
