Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic 2 Avionics/Electronics – installs, inspects, tests, and repairs avionics, electrical, and communications systems on rotary-wing aircraft (UH-60, AH-64, CH-47). Requires FAA A&P Certificate OR FCC License with Elements 1 and 3; must be US citizen with passport to obtain security clearance. Performs troubleshooting, wiring/auditing, and operation checks; uses hand tools, soldering irons, and test equipment; prepares aircraft for inspections and supports maintenance tests. Requires ability to deploy internationally (Germany), physical ability to lift parts/equipment, and familiarity with technical publications and logistics information systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- FAA A&P Certificate OR FCC License with Elements 1 and 3
- US Citizenship
- Valid US Passport for security clearance process
- Two to Five years of aviation maintenance and avionics experience on UH-60/AH-64/CH-47 (depending on listed requirements)
