Job Summary
Develop aircraft maintenance curriculum for fixed and rotary-wing military aircraft, including revisions, modifications, and the creation of course syllabi, training aids, and testing protocols. Deliver instruction in airframe, power plant, avionics, and other specialized courses while conducting welcome briefings, debriefings, and critiques for students. Maintain professional communications with campus departments and senior leadership to implement company policies and support the training team. Ensure full compliance with customer and regulatory requirements by accurately completing student and instructor training records, certifications, and reports. Provide mentoring to instructors and document student performance for customer awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as an aircraft mechanic
- Ability to oversee aircraft maintenance curriculum development
- Ability to perform classroom instruction
- Ability to support campus staff training and mentoring functions
- Knowledge of military aircraft both fixed and rotary-wing
- Ability to develop, revise, and update Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO) levels of instruction
- Ability to develop course syllabus
- Ability to develop training aids
- Ability to develop testing
- Ability to deliver first class training
- Ability to deliver cost-effective, high quality, state-of-the-art instruction materials
- Ability to implement company policies and procedures
- Ability to set business goals to support performance management
- Ability to develop the training support team
- Ability to maintain professional communications with the training institution team, campus departments, support staff and TechWise senior leadership
- Ability to maintain a high-level of standardization
- Ability to ensure full compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Ability to ensure the timely and accurate completion of student and instructor training records, certifications and other required reports
- Ability to provide mentoring of instructors and students
- Ability to conduct welcome briefings prior to training sessions
- Ability to conduct debriefings and critiques at the end of each course of instruction
- Ability to document and ensure the customer is aware of student performance
