Job Summary
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of rotor-wing fleet; perform mechanical inspections and repairs, manage inventory and maintain logs, document FAA information, and coordinate with Lead Technician and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, timely operations for patient transport. Requires A&P license, turbine-powered helicopter experience, HS diploma or GED, FAA knowledge, and ability to work overtime and 24/7 on-call. Demonstrates careful documentation, safety, and collaboration with air crew and maintenance staff.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years turbine powered helicopter experience
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid State issued Driver’s License
- Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
- EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
- Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
- Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
- Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC135 maintenance experience
- Autopilot maintenance experience
- Avionics and electrical repair experience
- FAA CFR Part 135 familiarity
- EMS environment experience
- Experience with aircraft maintenance systems and records management
- Experience coordinating with vendors and multiple teams
- Experience performing mechanical inspections and repairs
