Job Summary
Perform aircraft maintenance on systems including electrical and avionics, install and test wiring, troubleshoot and document nonconforming materials, and load/test software for hydraulics and avionics on military and certificated aircraft under engineering direction. Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents; conduct measurements with precision tools; maintain a safe, clean flight-line work environment; coordinate with engineering and operations teams including Government/military personnel; operate company and government information systems; work onsite at Edwards AFB in CA in a 1st or 2nd shift with potential overtime; requires active U.S. Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain Top Secret; U.S. citizenship required; FAA Airframe or Powerplant license required; union membership (IAM-751) applies.
Required Qualifications
- Military aircraft maintenance experience
- FAA Airframe or FAA Powerplant License
- 3+ years of experience in full-time aircraft flight line maintenance on military or commercial aviation aircraft
- Willing to wear eye, hearing, foot, hand, respirator and other PPE
- Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance (Secret, Top Secret)
- Experience with electrical and avionics systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
