Job Summary
Perform all manner of maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer's recommendations, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems while documenting work completed per company procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area and may travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, and to provide temporary support for other bases. Work various shifts in a potentially noisy environment, standing, walking, and climbing ladders or aircraft structures for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees
- Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals
- Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks
- May be required to drive or operate ground handling equipment - must have a valid Driver's License and meet all company insurance criteria
- Must be able to work various shifts
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or aircraft structures for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights
- Requires frequent use of hands and arms to reach, grasp, handle tools, and perform precision tasks
- May work outdoors, in weather as necessary
- May work near moving aircraft and machinery
- May work in a potentially noisy work environment
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years working on turboprop aircraft in a Part 135 or Part 121 environment
- Previous experience with Beechcraft 99 and BE1900, Embraer EMB-120, Fairchild SA227, Saab 340B aircraft
- Previous experience with GE T700/CT7, PT6A, PW118 and TPE331 series powerplants preferred
- Experience within a fast-paced, scheduled maintenance operation
