Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance tasks and coordinate schedules to ensure efficient workflows and adherence to regulatory standards. Conduct inspections of maintenance activities, maintain accurate records, and train staff to enhance performance. Monitor tool usage, enforce safety protocols through regular audits, and collaborate with departments to resolve technical issues. Address maintenance problems while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and safety operating practices. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, FAA A&P certification, and a Secret Security Clearance. You will deploy OCONUS on a 60/60 rotation, work extended hours including holidays and shifts, and meet DoD requirements. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years of aviation experience
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Familiarity with aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, and procedures and safe operating practices
- Basic understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Work in loud environments with exposure to hazardous materials
- Occasionally travel for inspections and training
- Adapt to flexible working hours, including night and weekend shifts
- U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in an aircraft maintenance setting
- Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military
