Job Summary
Aircraft Maintenance Military Transition Apprentice at EWR Newark Airport Maintenance, responsible for assisting licensed A&P Mechanics in preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications of aircraft. Requires high school diploma, 30 months experience, and strong mechanical aptitude. Full-time position with a salary range of $17.15 to $19.89 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 30 months of concurrent experience for both Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Able to use and navigate within Microsoft Office
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must successfully pass background check and drug test
- No previous felony convictions and possess a stable employment history
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Must have access to Form DD-214
- Must have access to On-the-Job Training (OJT) paperwork
- Must know your MOS/NEC/AFSC code
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Previous mechanical experience working in a shop environment
