Job Summary
The Aircraft Maintenance Military Transition Apprentice position at ORD O'Hare Airport involves assisting licensed A&P Mechanics with preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications of aircraft, requiring a high school diploma and mechanical aptitude.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 30 months of concurrent experience for both Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Able to use and navigate within Microsoft Office
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Access to Form DD-214
- Access to On-the-Job Training (OJT) paperwork
- Knowledge of MOS/NEC/AFSC code
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Previous mechanical experience working in a shop environment
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully pass background check and drug test
- No previous felony convictions
- Stable employment history
