Job Summary
Aircraft Maintenance Manager for the C-17 program. Responsibilities include managing maintenance operations on Royal Canadian Air Force CC177 Globemaster III aircraft at CFB Trenton, labour planning, training, performance management, cost-target realization, safety culture promotion, compliance with airworthiness standards and contract requirements, on-site presence (100%), and coordination with multiple stakeholders including Global Technical Operations and US government contracts. Requires leadership experience, knowledge of RCAF operations, project management skills, ability to travel up to 10%, and eligibility for Secret Level II security clearance. Relocation assistance is not offered; candidate must reside in or relocate at own expense. Salary range CAD 108,000 to CAD 132,000 per year; Canada-based posting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of leadership experience (team leader, temp manager, cross-functional project/program management) OR completion of Boeing internal leadership course
- Experience in managing and developing teams
- Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices
- Project management skills (problem solving, technical skills)
- Experience in managing performance-based aircraft maintenance contracts
- Ability to travel up to 10% to domestic or international sites
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must be eligible to work on Canadian government/defense-related programs with no restrictions
- Must consent to Canadian Government CGP assessment
- Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
- Must be able to handle US export-controlled data
- Preferred: 5+ years as Aircraft Maintenance Manager/Supervisor
- Preferred: 5+ years’ experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives
- Preferred: Experience with CC177 Globemaster III aircraft
- Relocation: Relocation assistance not negotiable
- Security Clearance: Secret Level II
