Job Summary
Instructors teach FAA Part 147-based aircraft maintenance courses at International AeroTech Academy's Lakeland, FL campus, delivering both lab and lecture instruction and maintaining a pre-approved FAA syllabus. Daily duties include teaching on a regular schedule, grading and documenting FAA attendance and makeup time, and supporting curriculum quality; the role splits roughly 60% hangar work and 40% classroom work. Must hold an FAA A&P, Airframe, or Powerplant license with 3+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience; FCC GROL or NCATT certifications are a plus. Strong communication skills and MS Office/Adobe proficiency are preferred. Relocation support considered on a case-by-case basis. Salary: $60,000 per year. 401(k) benefits, health/dental/vision insurance, and parental leave are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an FAA A&P, or Airframe or Powerplant License.
- FCC GROL or NCATT certifications a plus.
- Must have 3 or more years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Prefer an outgoing personality with good communication skills and the ability to instruct students in this field of study.
- Prefer prior instructional experience.
- Good skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
