Job Summary
Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment while delivering FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification. Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics, maintain accurate records of attendance and grades, and support curriculum updates with program leadership. Manage classroom and lab equipment, ensuring a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment. No prior teaching experience required; a 5-day paid instructor training program supports the transition. This role combines technical expertise with mentorship in a structured, compliance-driven training environment.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Background as an A&P Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic, or Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation maintenance procedures
- Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven training environment
- Flexibility to support evening or weekend schedules as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred
