Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics (Permanent)

Job Summary

Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair electrical/avionics systems on AW169 aircraft while creating task cards, work orders, and ordering parts in WinAir. Monitor consumable levels, conduct scheduled maintenance, and perform aircraft cleaning duties for interior and exterior areas. Keep accurate records of all repair activities, enter labor accurately, and report hazards using company systems. Adhere strictly to Transport Canada guidelines, safety procedures, and MPM while utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Work alone or as part of a team, wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean work environment. This Band 5a role involves shift work and requires a valid Transport Canada AME-E license with experience on rotary-wing assets.

Required Qualifications

  • valid Transport Canada AME-E license
  • experience working on a rotary-wing asset, ideally on Leonardo Helicopters AW-Family aircraft, in particular, the AW169
  • demonstrated experience working on WinAir or other similar maintenance programs
  • good organizational skills
  • proficient in English, written and spoken
  • physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods
  • physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
  • physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces
  • ability and willingness to undertake shift work
  • comfortable working at height
  • eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • right to work in Canada and/or have or can obtain a Canadian passport
  • valid driver's license
