Job Summary
Maintain aircraft logbooks, engine records, and historical documentation for F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NAVAIR instructions and technical publications. Perform data entry, validation, and retrieval within automated maintenance information systems while generating readiness reports, inspection schedules, and management summaries. Process scheduled and unscheduled maintenance documentation, component replacements, and configuration changes, coordinating with Production Control, Quality Assurance, and Government representatives. Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance documentation accuracy and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining aircraft maintenance records, maintenance administration, or aviation maintenance documentation
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation, aircraft logbooks, engine records, configuration management, and maintenance recordkeeping requirements
- Experience using automated aircraft maintenance information systems, maintenance databases, and electronic records management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience performing data entry, records validation, database maintenance, and maintenance report generation
- Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance documentation, technical directives, inspection records, maintenance action forms, and configuration records
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting production schedules and reporting requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Production Control, Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, Supply, and Government personnel
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting F/A-18 aircraft or other military tactical aircraft
- Previous U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps experience maintaining aircraft logs and records for F/A-18A/B/C/D, F/A-18E/F, and EA-18G aircraft
- Experience supporting Organizational (O-Level), Intermediate (I-Level), or Depot (D-Level) aircraft maintenance
- Experience with NAVAIR maintenance information systems and aircraft configuration management
- Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), NAVAIR, or U.S. Department of Defense aviation maintenance contracts
- Experience supporting Production Control, Maintenance Control, or Quality Assurance organizations
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one, if required by the contract
